BREEDING AND GENETIC IDENTIFICATION OF CARROT FORMS AND LINES ON PHOTOPERIODIC RESPONSE AND DURATION OF GROWING SEASON

In varietal carrot populations in generations of I1, F1 and F2 the authors studied a plant response on day length (in field conditions and in glasshouse). The results of genetic study of carrot genotypes and lines differed in photoperiodic response and duration of growing season are represented. In the conditions of long and short day the forms were isolated and the inbred lines with neutral response on day length and different time of ripening were created, which are valuable initial material for the new perspective varieties and heterotic hybrids of carrot.
